Waihi Academy is a unique venue that offers spaces and resources for school camps, trainings, conferences, retreats, exhibitions, and events. We have spacious classrooms, meeting rooms and on-site accommodation with well-equipped facilities and stunning views, perfect for your next event.

What services do you provide?

We offer indoor and outdoor spaces for hire, group accommodation and catering. We can also work with you to design and run different programmes and activities for you and your guests such as team building and leadership camps, wellness retreats and tea ceremonies.

How much does it cost?
​
We offer a wide range of modern spaces and facilities, all at reasonable prices. Prices will vary depending on the size of your event, catering choices and whether you require accommodation for your guests. Please reach out to our team about your event needs and budget and we will be able to work with you to plan a package that suits you.

What is the capacity of your spaces?

We have eight spacious classrooms and many different meeting rooms and conference spaces that vary in size.

How do I get there?
​
Waihi Academy sits outside the town of Waihi, around one hour from Tauranga, one and a half hours from Hamilton, and two hours from Auckland.
​
Our address is 132 Landlyst Road.
​
Depending on if you are coming from the North (via Whiritoa) or South (via Katikati or Paeroa), you will travel along State Highway 25, turn off at Golden Valley Road and then turn left onto Landlyst Road.
​
If you are travelling via Waihi Beach or Trig Road, you will turn right off Golden Valley Road onto Landlyst Road.

Do you have parking?
​
We have ample space for free parking on site, whether that be buses, vans, cars, or bikes. We also have an EV charging station.
​
Please note there is no Uber or online rideshare services in Waihi. There are local taxi companies but these often need to be pre-booked.

​
